The Wellington Phoenix have announced the re-signing of promising young midfielder Sarpreet Singh.
The 19-year-old has committed to a new two-year deal, after an outstanding debut season where he scored four goals across 11 appearances.
That form saw him selected for the All Whites, making his international debut against Canada, then netting his first goal against Kenya at the Intercontinental Cup.
"I see my future here, as I want to help bring success and trophies to the club," said Singh.
"This year, the focus is very much on progressing more than last year and the squad is shaping up to include a lot of quality.
Singh's signing comes a day after new head coach Mark Rudan confirmed the acquisition of former English Premier League defender Steven Taylor.
"Steven [Taylor] is obviously a very big statement and it shows the ambition of the club, and I want to be a part of that.
"The gaffer's vision - to bring a never-say-die winning mentality to the team - is starting to take shape and I really want to be a big part of that."
