Belgium's never been to a Football World Cup final, while France won it all 20 years ago in 1998, but that history will count for little when these two sides face off.

This Belgian side is being hailed as their 'golden generation', with a plethora of elite talent in their side now is the best chance they've ever had to win the World Cup.

Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku form one of the most potent attacking trios in world football. All three put in fantastic shifts in their quarter final win over Brazil, and they'll need their star trio to lead again this morning.

They come up against a French side who clinically saw off Uruguay in the quarter finals, and appear to be bringing through an exciting generation of talent themselves.

Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann are all young enough to form the spine of a world class team for years to come, and all are good enough already to lead the French to World Cup glory in Russia.

Just as shutting down Hazard's attacking flair will be key for France, shutting down Mbappe's blistering speed will go a long way toward helping Belgium take victory.

Geography suggests these two nations are fierce rivals, but this has been dubbed more a 'derby between pals'. Although with so much on the line, expect friendships to be put on hold for 90 minutes (and maybe even 120).
