BRAZIL 1-2 BELGIUM

FULLTIME: That is it! Brazil's World Cup is over! The favourites are gone as Belgium claim their biggest ever win. What a game.

93mins: Neymar goes for a beautiful curling shot but once again, Thibaut Courtois comes up big with a massive save.

92mins: Eden Hazard wins a free kick for his side and they will kill as much time as they can.

91mins: Neymar is pushed in the back inside the box and falls. The VAR takes a quick look and play resumes.

90mins: Five added minutes. Still plenty can happen in that time.

88mins: Many nervous fans inside the stadium right now as the clock continues to count down.

86mins: Four minutes, four minutes Brazil have to save their World Cup dreams.

84mins: Brazil go oh so close once again. They have had 24 shots to Belgium's nine.

81mins: Renato Augusto has another shot on goal, but this one goes wide.

80mins: Ten minutes remain. It will be a thrilling finish to this contest.

77mins: Roberto Firmino goes close to scoring but his shot flies over the crossbar.

75mins: GOAL BRAZIL: Game on in Kazan! Renato Augusto makes an immediate impact to score.  Coutinho crosses the ball in and the man who has just come on headers it home.

74mins: Belgium is definitely in wind down mode now as they are just going through the motions... Brazil go on another attack, but once again the Red Devils defence holds strong.

72mins: Brazil make their third and final chage; Renato Augusto comes on for Paulinho.

71mins: Costa takes a shot, but it ends up being a routine save for Courtois.

70mins: 20 minutes remain in Kazan. Can Brazil score twice to tie the match up? Or is it too little too late.

67mins: Douglas Costa is on for Gabriel Jesus.

65mins: Guess what? Neymar goes down again! I think y my count that is seven times maybe?

64mins: Belgium gets some rare attacking ball in this half. I think it is the third time in 20 minutes.

61mins: Brazil show off that flare in the attacking third, but the ball is turned over and the Red Devils go on the counter-attack, Eden Hazard takes a shot, and it goes wide. That was a golden chance to put the nail in the coffin.

59mins: It has been all Brazil in this second half and the shot count and possession numbers show that. But they can't seem to crack the Belgium defence.

56mins: As the ball was out when Gabriel Jesus went down, it is not a penalty.

55mins: It is al Brazil right now as they continue to attack the Belgium defence. Gabriel Jesus goes down in the box, and the VAR is checking it.

52mins: Neymar goes down in the box again and no foul is called again. Maybe his constant flopping is coming back to bite him.

51mins: Marcelo is getting heavily involved in this second half. He doesn't want to see his nation exit early.

48mins: Romelu Lukaku has an excellent early chance to score, but he is shut out inside the box. Now Brazil is on the attack and they are playing safe, but maybe too safe as a miss-pass goes into touch.

45mins: The second half is underway. Brazil has 45 minutes to save their season.

HALFTIME: What a half of football, Brazil have had more shots and had more possession, but it is Belgium who is 45 minutes away from a spot in the final four.

Kevin De Bruyne was outstanding in that half.

45mins: One minute of added time.

44mins: Neymar goes down in the box, but the referee doesn't blow his whistle. Maybe he is sick of the Brazilians flopping.

41mins: Another corner goes to Vincent Kompany who has a shot on goal and Alisson comes up with a  great save, and he keeps the ball in play.

40mins: A free kick just a just outside the box for Belgium. Can the Red Devils make it three? It is a great strike, and Alisson punches it over the crossbar.

37mins: Marcelo has a shot but Thibaut Courtois saves it and it goes out for a corner. Brazil take it quickly and take another shot, and Courtois comes up with a HUGE save!

35mins: Brazil are now on the attack. Marcelo finds Gabriel Jesus who headers the ball towards goes, but it isn't even close.

32mins: GOAL BELGIUM: Kevin De Bruyne doubles the lead. A fine strike from the edge of the box goes into the bottom left-hand corner and beats Alisson. Are we going to see another 7-1 Brazil performance?

31mins: Brazil et a corner and Belgium clear. It goes down to Fernandinho who shoots, but the defence deflects it. That doesn't matter though as the South Americans have another corner.

29mins: Brazil is playing with ten men right now as Neymar is getting some treatment on the sidelines. It looks like a leg problem for the PSG forward. I must say, some of these Brazilian players spend more time on the ground that on their feet.

27mins: A much-needed free kick for Brazil after Romelu Lukaku fouls Fagner
in the air.

23mins: The Brazilian defence is starting to show cracks now as Belgium earn another corner as they begin to build momentum.

21mins: Belgium fire in two cross kicks in towards their tall midfielders, but the  Brazilian defence defuses them.

19mins: It is a faily even contest stats wise despite Belgium leading. Both sides have taken four shots each and possession is around 50/50 right now.

16mins: Brazil take another shot but it is saved by Thibaut Courtois.

14mins: That's the second own goal conceded by Brazil at a World Cup - first was by Marcelo in 2014. That is also the 11th own goal at this World Cup.

13mins: GOAL BELGIUM: From the corner, Vincent Kompany gets his head tot he ball, and it deflects off Fernandinho into the net, and the Red Devils take the lead 1-0.

12mins: Kevin De Bruyne puts in a lovely ball for Marouane Fellaini, but it turns out to be a woeful shot. But they get a corner.

9mins: Paulinho is a menace inside the box.  Willian takes the corner, and it falls to Fernandinho, but a poor kick goes straight to the keeper.

8mins: Then Belgium go on the counter attack and have another shot on goal, but this one is blocked by Miranda.

7mins: First corner kick of the game and it is not a great kick but Thiago Silva gets the ball and it comes off the post! That was so so close.

5mins: Belgium launch an attack from inside their half. They kick towards the right wing, but Brazil clears the ball dwonfield.... Moments later, Neymar falls to the ground.....

3mins: Now Brazil get the ball into the penalty box as Neymar puts in a cross for Gabriel Jesus, but the Red Devils keeper Thibaut Courtois soars in the air to catch the ball.

Pre-match banter: Newshub's quarter-final predictions

Chris Forster: RadioLIVE sport editor - Belgium

Brazil have been efficient, hard to break down and pretty dull.

The Belgians needed a mighty comeback to deny the effervescent Japanese side in the best second half of the tournament.

That made it four wins from four in Russia. Eden Hazard is the cutting edge and his combination with Kevin Du Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, will be crucial to send the Brazilians packing.

Ben Francis: Newshub sport digital producer - Belgium

Brazil are the favourites and understandably so, but I would like to see Belgium advance. They have the talent and it is about time they delivered with the players at their disposal.

Henry Rounce: RadioLIVE sport reporter - Brazil

I still fancy Brazil. They're building nicely and even though they're up against this so called 'golden generation' Brazil have a couple of stars themselves.

The fleet-footed Brazil attack will be too quick for Belgium's tall timber at the back.

Michael O'Keeffe: Newshub sport reporter - Belgium

Brazil easily tamed the threat of Mexico in their most impressive performance to date, but I still have my doubts.

Belgium have the skills to tear their defence apart, and Lukaku's scoring goals for fun
