FULLTIME: Croatia are in the final. They beat England 2-1 to reach the final. Mario Mandzukic scores in extra time to earn a spot in the final.

England had many chances to score, mainly in the first half when they led 1-0, but they failed to convert and as the game went on, Croatia grew and was the better team on the day.

120+3mins: England will have one last chance. One last free kick to try draw this match.

120+1mins: Dele Alli is getting fired up no, grabbing one of the Croatian players, but England play on looking for the goal.

120mins: Four minutes of stoppage time.

119mins: Final minute and Croatia have the ball.

117mins: Three minutes remian. England are playing with 10 men.

115min: Croatia nearly score again, but Jordan Pickford makes the save.

113mins: Croatia have another shot but goes out for a corner. More Croatian players are down... Their hero Mario Mandzukic is coming off for Vedran Ćorluka.

111mins: Jamie Vardy comes on for Kyle Walker. That is England's final substitute.

110mins: Tens minutes for England to save the game, in ten minutes, their run could be over.

108mins: GOAL CROATIA: Mario Mandzukic with the breakthrough and Coatia lead in Moscow. That came from nowhere. The ball bounces into space, and despite having two defends on him, he wins the race tot he ball and gets it past Pickford for the goal.

106mins: Corner to Croatia.. They go short and the ball finds the feet of Marcelo Brozovic who fires it wide.

105mins: The second half of extra time has started.

HALFTIME: Croatia had the best chance to score in that first break, but the stores remained locked at 1-1. Will there be a very late winner? or are we going to penalties? If it does, I guarantee England fans won't be looking at a screen.

105+2mins: Mario Mandzukic contest a high ball and Jordan Pickfords soars through the air to save it, colliding with Mandzukic who falls to the ground in pain.

105+1mins: A great chance for Croatia but it is cleared away by England. Croatia attack once more but England clear once more.

105mins: Two minutes of added time in the first half of extra time.

103mins: Croatia are stating the theatrics now. There have been about two or three in extra time. Very France-esk.

100mins: Ante Rebic is coming off for 9. Andrej Kramaric

98mins: John Stones gets his head to the ball, but it is traight at a Croatian standing on the line who headers the ball away. That was so close.

98mins: He has only just stepped foot on the pitch, but Eric Dier forces a corner after shooting from distance.

96mins: Jordan Henderson is off for Eric Dier. That is England's third substitute.

95mins: Danny Rose is fouled on the attack and England have another atttack free kick. The Three Lions have been deadly from their set-piece this tournament so you get the feeling if they score, it is coming from a set peice.

93mins: Defender Ivan Strinic is down for Coatia and he will be repalced by 22. Josip Pivarić.

92mins: England looking like they want to hold onto the ball early in this match and maybe try tire the Croatians out.

90mins: The first half of extra time is underway. England make their second chance with Danny Rose coming on for Ashley Young.

7:56am: Look below for some stats after 90 minutes.

7:52am: Many England fans are hoping it doesn't go to penalties, saying they couldn't watch if it went that far.

7:51am: By my counting, England will have three subsitiutes in extra time, while Croatia will have four.

FULLTIME: The final whistle is blown and the game is tied. That means we have two 15 minutes halves to play in extra time.

90+1mins: Marcus Rashford is fouled in an attacking area and they have a free kick. They will look to find one of their tall player standing in the box, hoping to head home the winner.

Harry Kane gets his head to the ball but it is wide.

90mins: Three minutes of stoppage time to play in Moscow.

89mins: Croatia are pushing bodies up the field, hunting for that late winner. England pull all their players back.

87mins: Not long before injury time and potentially extra time.

85mins: As their last two games went to extra time, you get the feeling Croatia are looking for the winner as soon as possible.

84mins: Two more chanegs to Croatia, but somehow England survive. But guess who was involved in those two plays? That is correct, it was Perisic.

82mins: It feels like Ivan Perisic is getting involved in everything right now. He crosses the ball into the box trying to find Ante Rebic but Pickford gets to the ball.

80mins: Ten minutes left as Croatia tightens their grip on the game. Ivan Perisic nearly comes up with a  big play but the ball just beats him and rolls to Pickford.

79mins: England feed the ball into the box, but it beats Rashford and it goes out for a goalkick.

77mins: Marcus Rashford gets some nice early touches as he works his way into the game. Then Jesse Lingard gets a rare England opportunity in the second half but his ball goes out and misses the goal by a mile.

75mins: Croatia with another opportunity to score, but England's scrambling defenders clear the ball out of the danger zone.

74mins: Marcus Rashford comes on for Raheem Sterling.

73mins: Croatia have a corner which comes to nothing as Marcelo Brozovic fires it over the crossbar.

71mins: Ivan Perisic has another shot at goal and it beats Pickford but the ball hits the inside of the post and bounces out. Ante Rebic gets the rebound and shoots but Pickford saves it.

70mins: The Croatian fans are now finding their voice in Moscow. That goal might give them the advantage at this stage of the game.

68mins: GOAL CROATIA: Even stevens in Moscow as Croatia level things up. Ivan Perisic is the hero after sneaking in front of the England defence to tap the ball into the goal from a cross. England might rue those missed opportunities now.

66mins: Harry Kane takes a shot  but it hits the side netting.

64mins: Croatia take a shot at goal and Pickford dives to make the save, but the shot deflects off Kyle Walker. I think that may have hit his coin purse. He is still down on the ground in pain, but that block might have saved England.

63mins: England with some attacking ball now, but Croatia force a turnover, but they don't hold the ball long as Raheem Sterling comes up with the footy. He attacks into the box and falls over... No foul is called as he tripped over himself.

60mins: Thirty minutes remain in Moscow. Thirty minutes for Croatia to find an equalising goal. Can they do it?

57mins: Croatia has a corner now. Luka Modric takes it and luckily Jordan Pickford punches the ball away. If he missed it, that could have easily been a goal to the team in blue.

55mins: Jesse Lingard takes a shot and it deflects off  Ivan Strinic into touch. Corner time for England. It goes over everybody in the box, but England maintain possession. They get another cross in which just goes past Harry Kane.

53mins: Kyle Walker gets a yellow card for time wasting. He picked up the ball after Croatia was awarded a free kick and ran away with it. Very similar to Mbape yesterday against Belgium.

51mins: Now Croatia with some attacking ball. They have a throw-in after the Three Lions kick the ball into touch. Their opportunity comes to nothing as a cross kick goes out.

48mins: The ball has mainly been in Croatia's half in the second, with nothing too exciting to start the half.

46mins: Mario Mandzukic has a few words tot he referee over a foul which was called.

45mins: The second half is underway. England, yes England are 45 minutes away from the final. Who would have thought that six months ago.

6:59am: Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is in Moscow for the match.

HALFTIME: England dufuse the ball and that is halftime. England are 45 minutes away from qualifying for the final. A magical free kick is the difference  between the two teams so far.

England should probably be 2-0, or 3-0 up, but they are leading and closing in on a famous win so that is what they will care about the most.

45mins: There will be one minute of added time. Croatia has a free-kick. This might be the last play of the half.

44mins: England with the ball inside the attacking third. But they work it all the way back to their defensive third. Croatia turns the ball over, but good defence clears the ball out.

41mins: Sime Vrsaljko jsut showed why defenders don't shoot often as his shot flies over the cross bar.

40mins: Five minutes remain in the first half.

39mins: Croatia is slowly but surely working their way into the match now, but England's defence looks unbeatable right now. England get away with a penalty, and Croatia was not happy about that, so they foul right back, and the referee calls for an England free-kick.

37mins: The Three Lions are controlling possession right now. They fire a ball into the attacking third,  but it goes out for a goal-kick.

34mins: England blows another glorious opportunity to extend the lead. Dele Alli gets the ball into the box, and he passes it to Jesse Lingard, who puts the ball wide of the net.

31mins: John Stones comes up with a massive tackle to deny Croatia, but the bouncing ball goes to the feet of Ivan Rakitic who fires a shot a Pickford, but the Everton keeper comes up big.

29mins: Harry Kane has two golden opportunities to double the lead. He takes the shot, but as he has done all tournament,  Danijel Subasic makes a fantastic save. Kane shoots again, but it saved again.

27mins: Another free kick to England from a very good attacking area. Ashley Young will look to curl it into the box. Then Danijel Subasic gets to the ball and punches it out into touch.

25mins: England hot on the attack and Raheem Sterling is breaking ankles with his dribbling prowess. He turns the ball over and then Croatia go on the attack.

23mins: Goal-kick to England.

21mins: Take a look at the tweet below of England fans that magical Beckham-esk goal scored earlier in the match.

18mins: Ivan Perisic takes a shot from outside the box and it is a great strike, but it goes just wide of the right hand post.

16mins: Croatia has barely had any ball in this match... Well, that is what it seems like. Jordan Henderson fires the ball into teh box, but keeper Danijel Subasic wins the race to the ball.

13mins: England still hot on the attack and they force another corner....  Harry Maguire gets his head to the ball, but it goes wide of the posts.

10mins: England looks like they want to wrap this up early and get a second goal. Ashley Young goes down the wing and gets the ball to Dele Alli, but it is flicked by Dejan Lovren, and the Three Lions now have a corner.

8mins: Croatia with a with an excellent attacking opportunity with a corner. It goes over the top of the attackers and now England on the counter-attack.

7mins: England with another attacking opportunity but Danijel Subasic cleans up.

6mins: That was Trippier's first goal.

5mins: GOAL ENGLAND: Kieran Trippier scores from the freekick and wow what a strike. He curled it over the ball into the top right corner. What a strike by the Tottenham player. England lead 1-0.

4mins: As I type that, Dele Alli is fouled just outside the penalty box.

3mins: Nothing too flash to start the encounter. I think nerves have played apart early in this match...

1min: Jesse Lingard gives away an early penalty in Croatia's half. They attack down the left wing, but good defence by England forces the ball into touch.

KICKOFF: We are underway in Moscow! England gets the match started.

5:59am: Kickoff is moments away.... The next 90 minutes are going to be very tense.

5:57am: It is God Save The Queen time. From the anthems, it sounds like more England fans are in attendance.

5:56am: Time for the Croatian anthem!

Prematch banter: England, Croatia look to join France in football World Cup final

The last time England made a FIFA World Cup final, they won. That was in 1966 though and it's been 52 long years since they’ve been back on football's biggest stage.

Hopes are high around England that this is the year the Three Lions finally break their hoodoo.

The English will come up against a Croatian side equally desperate to make this tournament one to remember.

Playing as Croatia, their best finish was third at the 1998 tournament, the only previous time they've made it out of the group stages.

They'll rely on Luke Modric as their main creative outlet, the Real Madrid star is one of the classiest midfielders on the planet. Modric completes all the tasks of a midfield playmaker with elite execution.

England will turn to Harry Kane as their talismanic figure to lead them through to Monday's final. Kane's six goals this tournament have seen him all but lock up top goalscorer, the next best players still in the tournament are Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann of France on three – and they only have one more game to play.

England's always had their share of elite footballing stars but Kane has been able to do what the likes of Rooney, Beckham and Gerrard couldn't, he's put England on his back  and powered them towards footballing history.

Admittedly, England have one of their best lineups in many years but Kane's been a true go-to man, turning up when they've most needed him.

He scored a vital stoppage time winner in their opener against Tunisia, then put three past a hapless Panama side and stepped up to calmly slot home a penalty in the shootout win over Colombia.

One more goal for Kane would put him past Gary Lineker's 32 year England record of six goals in a World Cup tournament, and would go a long way to booking their spot in football's biggest match.
