The NZ Warriors will be without key forwards Tohu Harris and Bunty Afoa for the next six weeks.

Harris left the field late in the loss to the Cronulla Sharks last weekend and has since been diagnosed with a meniscus tear in his left knee. He'll undergo surgery and is expected to return in 4-6 weeks.

Afoa dislocated his left elbow after just 12 minutes of action and is also expected to be out for up to six weeks.

It's a significant blow for the Auckland-based franchise looking to cement its spot in the top eight, as the competition heads into the home stretch.

"We're comfortable," Kearney said. "Tohu and Bunty had been doing a really good job for us, but the guys who will be going into their positions are more than capable."

The last-gasp loss to the Sharks saw them slip to fifth on a log-jammed NRL ladder with some testing road trips awaiting, starting with with the fourth-placed Panthers in Penrith on Friday.

Veteran forward Adam Blair returns from suspension to make up for the loss of Harris and Afoa, while international wings David Fusitu'a and Ken Maumalo are also back in the starting line-up, after missing last week's outing.

Warriors: 1-Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (C), 2-David Fusitu’a, 3-Peta Hiku, 4-Solomone Kata, 5-Ken Maumalo, 6-Blake Green, 7-Shaun Johnson, 8-James Gavet, 9-Issac Luke, 10-Agnatius Paasi, 11-Isaiah Papali’I, 12-Simon Mannering, 13-Adam Blair
