While most UK's boxing fans are backing Dillian Whyte to win, Newshub found one man who wants Kiwi Joseph Parker to win.
The man says he is a big fan of Parker's and has followed him for most of his career. A touching gesture when he arrived in the UK before the Anthony Joshua in March fight meant the world to the supporter and his child.
- Joseph Parker is definitely not a coward
- Parker vs Whyte - who's going to win?
- Kiwi must dictate terms or face long night
"I'm a security manager at Heathrow, so as he was coming through I stopped him," he tells Newshub.
"He asked if he'd done something wrong, and I said, 'No, I want to take a picture with you.' My son is also a huge fan, and I said, 'Do you mind singing something?' And he said, 'How about you get your phone and I'll do a personal video message for him?' And he did it."
A year ago, the Aucklander was an unknown on the streets of England, but since having fought both Hughie Fury in 2017 and Joshua in April in the UK, Parker is now a household name.
The man from Surrey says he drove over an hour to get a glimpse of Parker again at the public workout in Stratford on Thursday (NZ time).
"I spoke to him and his brother, and he remembered who I was. He said, 'You are the guy who stopped me at the airport?' And I said yes I was, and he went over and spoke to my son.
"I am backing him to win. He looks good, really quick and agile. I want him to get back to the top."
All the other people Newshub spoke to the streets of London believe Whyte will win the fight, with one fan predicting the Brit will be the first man to drop Parker to the canvas.
Parker and Whyte will battle at London's O2 Arena on Sunday in what will be a career-defining fight for both fighters.
Both have only lost once in their careers (both to Joshua), but Parker hasn't recorded a knockout win in his past four fights, while Whyte destroyed Australian Lucas Browne in his previous bout.
A win for either fighter would put them in pole position to challenge for Deontay Wilder's WBC championship, and Joshua's WBO, WBA and IBF belts.
Parker told the AM Show on Thursday he has been amazed by the support he has received since being in London.
"You can always see the Kiwis when you look around and see the traditional tattoos," said Parker.
"It is quite surprising to see the support and love our team is getting here."
