Swimming New Zealand writes off Tokyo Olympic chances two-years out

Swimming New Zealand has taken the extraordinary step of openly writing off their chances of a medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

With the sport's funding halved over the last eight years, they've ditched the idea of a head coach in an overhaul of their programme that's seen them adopt a long-term approach.

They're hoping the brave move will pay dividends in the future.
