If you struggle to get your kids to sleep, then All Blacks captain Kieran Read might be able to help.

The 32-year-old is launching a new podcast series entitled Kieran Read's Bedtime Stories, where he reads stories to help put children to bed.

The first episodes will be released on August 18, just in time for the All Blacks' first Bledisloe Cup test against the Wallabies.

"Relax as rugby legend Kieran Read shares bedtime stories that help you put your children to bed, so that you can watch the rugby in peace," the description reads on the podcast page. "Or eat marshmallows in the bath if that's more your thing."

Read posted an Instagram video to share the news.

"We all need a night off once in a while, so tune in to my new @swissenz podcast," Read wrote.

"I'll help you get the kids to sleep, while you watch the game this weekend."

Fans commented on the post, saying they had already subscribed - even though they don't have children.

Read will lead the All Blacks in Saturday's test against Australia, his first since New Zealand's win over Scotland in November.
