Romania's Arges Pitesti club finished their game against Chindia Targoviste without a manager, when head coach Emil Sandoi was sent to the stands after a bizarre foul.

Sandoi was shown a straight red card in the 81st minute of the game, after tripping Targoviste winger Cristian Negut.

As Negut made a run with the ball down the wing, Sandoi stuck out his leg out in clear view of the linesman to send Negut flailing to the ground.

The referee had no choice but to send him off for the remainder of the game at the Stadionul Eugen Popescu in Targoviste.

The game ended 1-1 and Targoviste now sit in second place in the league, level on points with league leaders Sportul Snagov.

Arges are in fifth position with four games played.
