Golfing greats Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have confirmed they will face off in a high-stakes exhibition match in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving Weekend in November.
The showdown, dubbed 'The Match', will take place at Shadow Creek Golf Course with a US$9 million (NZ$13 million) purse up for grabs.

Woods confirmed the news on Twitter, with Mickelson following suit shortly after.
But there’s a problem with the promotional poster that shows Woods using a left-handed driver, when he plays with a right.
The duo will battle it out in an 18-hole, head-to-head match, which will see both golfers - and their caddies - wired for sound, while the duo will also arrange side bets during the match, including closest to the pin, long drive, chipping and putting.
The match will be broadcast on pay-per-view television in the US.
"It's an opportunity for us to bring golf to the masses in prime time during a period where we don't have much going on in the world of golf," Mickelson said.
"It allows us to be a little bit more real, if you will.
"We're going to be mic'd up. We think there will be some pretty good interest, but we're also trying to present it in a way that you don't get to see with normal TV."
The pair have 19 Major championship wins between them.
Woods and Mickelson endured a 20-year feud on the US PGA Tour, which has only settled now the duo are at the tail-end of their stellar careers.
