Warriors forward Bunty Afoa has escaped suspension from an NRL judiciary for a dangerous contact charge.
The key interchange player will be free to take the field against Newcastle Knights on Friday, as the Auckland-based club seeks to nail down a playoff spot for the first time in seven years.
Afoa was cited for an awkward tackle on the head and neck of St George-Illawarra Dragons counterpart Leeson Ah Mau, who will transfer to the Warriors next season.

The Warriors had already lost prop Sam Lisone off their bench for the encounter with the Knights - he was suspended for two matches for leading with a forearm into a tackle against the Dragons.
Coach Stephen Kearney named an unchanged starting line-up from the one that toppled St George last Saturday, with Kiwis forward Tohu Harris still side-lined by a knee injury.
