NRL: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck eyes 50th game for Warriors against Bulldogs

Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will play his 50th NRL game for the New Zealand Warriors, when they take on the Canterbury Bulldogs in Sydney on Sunday afternoon.

The 25-year-old fullback will lead an unchanged starting 13 from the ones that dispatched the Newcastle Knights 20-4 last week and St George Illawarra 18-12 a fortnight ago.

Tuivasa-Sheck is widely tipped to be on a very short list to win the 2018 Dally M Medal for the competition's best player after a stellar season, reminiscent of his performances for the 2013 NRL champion Sydney Roosters side.

The former high school rugby standout ran for a staggering 338 metres against the Knights, after an impressive 239 against the Dragons, 160 against the Gold Coast Titans and 229 against the Melbourne Storm last month.

A win for the Warriors would guarantee finals football for the first time since the Grand Final run of 2011 and also heap pressure on the sides above them, as the Auckland-based club continues to push for an top-four spot.

Coach Stephen Kearney is likely to lean towards an unchanged 17 for the match, which would mean another bench appearance from utility back Peta Hiku.

In 36 meetings, the Warriors have 14 wins and the Bulldogs 20, with two draws.
