Second-rower Tohu Harris has been ruled out of the NZ Warriors' NRL clash with the St George-Illawarra Dragons on Saturday.

The Kiwi international has missed four games since injuring his left knee against the Cronulla Sharks on June 29.

He was named to return against the Dragons this week, but has apparently suffered an injury to his right knee and returned to Auckland for minor surgery, with no timetable for recovery.

Harris' withdrawal is huge blow to the Warriors, clinging to the eighth and final playoff - four points clear of nearest challengers Wests Tigers, but with only one win from their last five outings.

Coach Stephen Kearney has not named a replacement yet, but will need to reshuffle his squad when the final line-up is confirmed 24 hours before kick-off.
