Two months on and New Zealand Rugby League still hasn't been paid by the promoter of June's Kiwis test against England in Denver.
The delay means it's highly unlikely the teams will return to the United States to play again next year and again in 2020.
NZRL paid the players out of its own pocket for this year, but it's understood it's owed half-a million dollars, so it has given the promoter until Friday to come up with the money.
