Flanker Heiden Bedwell-Curtis is the only newcomer to the Crusaders starting line-up for Saturday's Super Rugby final against the Lions in Christchurch.
With Jordan Taufua suffering a broken arm during last week's semi-final win over the Hurricanes, Bedwell-Curtis will start in the number six jersey in a loose forward combination with Matt Todd and Kieran Read.
He's the only member of the Crusaders forward pack without international experience.
"Heiden has been extraordinary evey time he's played for us," said coach Scott Robertson.
"He's extremely capable and it's probably more that [Pete Samu] is exceptional off the bench at changing the pace of the game up.
"We've kept that continuity of his ability to come on and play all three positions, and add to the end of the game."
The other change comes on the reserves bench, where a series of injuries to back-up hookers has seen Sam Anderson-Heather called up from Otago club rugby.
