Basketball:The best and worst of NBA's 2018/19 season media day

A majority of NBA teams began their 2018/19 season preparations with the much anticipated 'Media Day' on Tuesday (NZT)

However, not every team got the best reactions from their new lineups, and their new uniforms

Here’s the best and the worst of the NBA 2018/19 Media Day.

Oh yeah... Lebron is a Laker!

Remember that time LeBron James signed a mammoth deal to be a Los Angeles Laker? Yup, you weren’t dreaming, and as the photos show, the young Lakers players are over the moon about it!

With the departure of Carmelo Anthony from the Thunder and Adams entering his sixth season, he’s finally been given the title he so rightly deserves- becoming a part of the ‘big three’ alongside Russell Westbrook and Paul George.

Adams has a very exciting squad alongside him this year, and the team chemistry already seems to be humming. Watch this space, Thunder fans!

The best starting five… ever?

The current champion Golden State Warriors decided their side simply wasn’t good enough, and added arguably the best centre in the league in Demarcus Cousins.

And these photos alone have fans either shaking in their boots or shaking with excitement.

The off-season gives teams plenty of time to prepare new and improved uniforms, here are some of the best, and the downright worst uniforms that will be gracing the courts this season.

The Pacers are lucky with their colour scheme, but have taken it to the next level with the logo placement. If you’re an Indiana fan, there’s no doubt you’ll be stoked to be buying one of these.

There’s no words for this one really. I’m no fashionista, but stripes on the top and plain on the bottom? C’mon now! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse for the Hornets.

Exciting times for the Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs acquired All-Star Demar Derozan from Toronto in exchange for super-star Kawhi Leonard, who was unhappy with the Spurs for sometime.

But a photo like this will make Spurs fans very, very excited.

Kawhi’s laughing! Kind of…

And to finish in the weirdest way possible - today Kawhi Leonard’s made his hotly anticipated first appearance in a Toronto Raptors uniform.

When asked by media to go into detail about himself, he delivered this: (beware for one of the weirdest laughs you’ll ever come across).

The NBA season begins on October 17th.
