Boxing: Sonny Bill Williams uses daughters in Rocky-inspired training video

All Black's midfielder Sonny Bill Williams has called in the help of his daughters, Aisha and Imman, to help promote his return to the boxing ring, with a Rocky-inspired training Instagram video.

Williams is fighting Stu 'The Bachelor' Laundy in a charity bout on December 1, raising money for the homeless in New Zealand and Australia.

Williams is a former New Zealand and WBA International Heavyweight Champion, but was stripped of both titles in 2013, due to inactivity, and hasn't fought since 2015.

If healthy, Williams is expected to be selected for the All Blacks end of year tour to the northern hemisphere, meaning he won't get much time to train for the bout properly.

The All Blacks final game of the tour is on November 25 (NZ time) against Italy, so Williams would likely head straight for Sydney at the end of the tour.

The All Blacks have this week off before flying out to Argentina, and Williams has begun his training preparations.

The cross-code star shared a video to his Instagram account that showed him doing squats with one daughter on his arm and another on his shoulders. He was also doing sit-ups while feeding his kids.

The video has the song 'Gonna Fly Now' from the famous Rocky movies in the background.

"I'm back in the ring Dec 1st - Fighting for those who happen to be a bit down on their luck and are homeless in Aotearoa and Australia. It's an honour to be part of this special event, [sic] " posted Williams.

The charity fight night in December - billed as 'The Banger under the Hanger', a play on the Sydney Harbour Bridge's 'coathanger' nickname - will also include a host of big-name sports stars and personalities.

Williams' opponent Laundy, who is unbeaten in the boxing ring, won Australia's The Bachelorette TV show in 2017, winning the heart of former pop star Sophie Monk - but the couple have since split.

The winner will be declared 'world heavyweight champion of the homeless and needy', and receiving a world championship belt signed by boxing legend Mike Tyson.
