Former Blackcaps skipper Brendon McCullum has taken a dig at disgraced Australian cricketer David Warner, who celebrated his comeback club century just a little too vigorously under the circumstances.
Warner, banned from international cricket for his part in the Aussie ball-tampering scandal in South Africa this year, returned to Sydney grade cricket to help pass the time during his 12-month suspension.
With 21 test centuries to his name, Warner brought up triple figures for Randwick-Petersham against friendly club bowling and celebrated like he had just won the Ashes. He went on to score 155 not out.
McCullum was not amused and tweeted: "Geez Davey! This celebration is the equivalent of Sir Ed Hillary giving it large climbing his front steps, post Everest! Hahaha."
He added: "Or in horse racing parlance, it's similar to if @HugeBowman was to give it 'she's apples' in a maiden midweek at Wyong! Ahahahaha."
Warner's partner-in-crime - former Aussie captain Steve Smith - also turned out for his Sutherland club, scoring 85 off 92 balls.
