NRL: Mad Monday strikes again: Bulldogs players go wild in Sydney

Mad Monday shenanigans have struck again after images have emerged of a  Canterbury Bulldogs player vomiting in public.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the Sydney club's players were groping each other's genitals while naked, partying at a local nightclub at a private function on Monday night.

The front page of the Telegraph on Monday showed an image of a player throwing up in an alleyway.

The Bulldogs didn’t have much to celebrate after a season to forget, finishing 12th with eight wins in 24 games.

The 'Doggies' did cost the Warriors a home semi-final however with a 27-26 win over the New Zealand club in Sydney last month.

The club have labelled the actions of their players as 'unaccetable' and have launched an investigation.

The Bulldogs said they would work with the NRL to review the players' end-of- season event after News Corp photographs were published of the club's Monday night gathering at a Sydney hotel.

A Sydney City police spokesperson said they had not received any official complaint but the Bulldogs released a statement saying the players' behaviour in the photographs was a "bad look".

"In regard to images from the team's get together on Monday, the club accepts that they were unacceptable and a poor reflection on the individuals involved and the club," the Bulldogs statement said.

"The players are aware of their responsibilities and the standards required when representing the club and yesterday's behaviour was unacceptable and a bad look for the game.

"The club will now work with all relevant stakeholders to gather information and fully review what took place yesterday.

"The club is also working closely with the NRL in regard to determining the next steps in this review."

The Bulldogs launched their Mad Monday celebrations after missing out on the NRL finals starting this week, winning four of their last six games to finish 12th.

Manly Sea Eagles coach Trent Barrett put the brakes on his side's Mad Monday celebrations as the players all reported to team headquarters for a season ending review.

The Sydney club finished the season in 15th.
