Tiger Woods will play in the Ryder Cup later this month, after being named as a wildcard pick by US golf captain Jim Furyk.
Woods will be joined by Bryson DeChambeau and longtime rival Phil Mickelson.
The 42-year-old American returns in a playing capacity for the first time since 2012, after recovering from back surgery and finishing second at the recent US PGA Championship
Woods was scheduled to be a vice-captain at Le Golf National in Paris, so Furyk announced he would add David Duval, Zach Johnson and Matt Kuchar to his backroom staff.
The former world number one has recorded five top-10 finishes and missed just two halfway cuts, with sixth place in the Open at Carnoustie and second in the US PGA removing any lingering doubts about his place on the team.
But the 14-time Major winner will look to improve on his poor record in the event, which has seen him win 13, lose 17 and halve three of his 33 matches.
Mickelson's record does not make for any better reading. The five-time Major winner has won 18, lost 20 and halved seven of his 45 matches. Only Furyk has lost as many matches in the competition.
The 48-year-old had to rely on a wild card for the first time in his career, after his chances of qualifying ended with a missed cut in the US PGA, although he did win his first title since the 2013 Open at the WGC-Mexico Championship earlier this season.
Mickelson will play a record 12th Ryder Cup, having debuted in 1995.
DeChambeau is in terrific form, winning back-to-back PGA Tour events and finishing one spot outside an automatic qualifying spot.
US Open and US PGA Championship champion Brooks Koepka, Masters winner Patrick Reed, world number one Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Webb Simpson had all qualified automatically.
Tony Finau is favourite to get the final wildcard, to be announced after the BMW Championship, after finishing 15th in qualifying, and second and fourth in the first two FedEx Cup events.
Francesco Molinari, Justin Rose, Tyrrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Alex Noren and Thorbjorn Olesen are in the Europe side, with captain Thomas Bjorn set to announce his quartet of wildcards on Thursday (NZT).
The United States are the current Ryder Cup holders, after winning 17-11 at Hazeltine two-years ago, but haven't scored a victory in Europe since 1993.
