Otago all-rounder Nathan Smith is the latest cricketer to fall to an embarrassing run-out during his team's Plunket Shield match in Wellington.
Batting partner Michael Rippon flicked a ball, bowled from Hamish Bennett, towards fine leg and took off for what looked like a routine double.
But the South African-born batsmen then slipped while turning at the non-striker's end, causing Smith to try and turn suddenly, before he too slipped in the middle of the wicket.

Both batsmen were on the ground, as Wellington wicketkeeper Lachie Johns casually took off the bails, leaving Smith red-faced, as he walked back to the pavilion.
This latest run-out caps an unusual 24 hours for cricketers running between the wickets.
Pakistan Batsmen Azar Ali was dismissed, after edging Peter Siddle through the slips in their test match against Australia in Abu Dhabi.
Ali thought the ball had crossed the boundary, but Aussie fielder Mitchell Starc proceeded to throw the ball to wicketkeeper Tim Paine, who ran the batsman out, as Ali and Asad Shafiq stood together in mid-pitch.
