Waikato will be looking to avoid a repeat of the same fixture just two weeks ago where Otago got the better of them 23-19 to take the Ranfurly Shield. The Mooloos will be hoping they can head straight back to the premiership where they were a year ago.
They will be taking on an Otago side full of confidence after taking the Log O' Wood from Waikato and securing a final spot, beating Hawkes Bay after the hooter last week.
All eyes will be on Waikato winger Sevu Reece who scored four tries in the semi-final against Northland and currently sits at the top of the try scoring ladder.
Two of the young guns at first five go head-to-head tonight with points leader Fletcher Smith suiting up against semi-final hero Josh Ioane.
