90+3: A minute to go and the Roar are hot on attack but Fenton clears well and the Nix are out of danger.
90+1: Roar go close - superb save from Kurto off a Alex Lopex shot from distance - Lopes smashed it to Kurto's right but his dives well and palms it clear.
89mins: Burns gets the ball wide right aftera superb pass from Doyle - he takes on Papadopoulos but the defender does well and the Roar clear.
87mins: Tom Doyle again comes to the rescue - great ball from Henrique wide right but Doyle flings himself at it and heads away superbly.
86mins: Nathan Burns on for Roy Krishna.
85mins: Singh finds himself in space in the moddle - 30 yards out and he unleashed that big left foot but it's well wide.
82mins: Mitch Nichols on for the Nix - Alex Rufer off. Another solid effort from Rufer. Nichols a former Brisbane Roar player.
79mins: Free-kick for the Nix - Singh's effort is powered over Young's goal.
77mins: Nix appeal for a penalty - Taylor is down in the box but the VAR doesn't see anything wrong with it - he was wrestled to the ground but he was just as much at fault.
75mins: Danger moments for the Nix. Lopez in the thick of it - great pass into the area, back headed by taylor towards goal and henrique is there but his header goes wide. Nix counter through Krishna and have a corner.
72mins: Nice set-play from the Nix. Singh fonds Taylor out wide who heads across the face of goal, Burgess down in the box but there is nothing there.
70mins: Nice period of play for the Nix. Max Burgess who is on for Williams has started very well - creating a couple half chances but well defended.
67mins: Bautheac goes as close as the Roar have gone. Nice dinking run and he finds a bit of space, fires a left footed shot towards goal and it's inches wide of Kurto's goal.
66mins: Krishna in a hole again - gets in behind his defender but again the angle is tough and Young saves easily.
63mins: A couple players from both sides fall over in the box but nothing there. Nix clear.
62mins: Free-kick opportunity for the Roar. Durante with a silly challenge 20-yards out to the left of goal.
59mins: Roar break - Stefan Mauk carries the ball 40m, places Mikkelsen in the gap with a well weighted pass but hos powerful shot is straight at Kurto. Nix off the hook.
56mins: Tom Doyle having a geat game at the back for the Nix. Another powerful header cleans up a dangerous cross from Mikkelsen.
54mins: Well worked corner from the Roar - ball bobbles around a few heads and is cleared by Taylor - the Nix break through Williams - superb pass through to Krishna but great defending from Papadopoulos forces a corner. Game opening up.
53mins: Counter from the Roar - Mikkelsen down the right all by himself - takes on Durante in the box but the veteren defender does well. Corner for the Roar.
50mins: Krishna runs into the box after a great ball from Rufer - he has too much pace for the defence but his shot from a wide angle is straight at Young.
49mins: Nice play from Sing and Cacace earns a corner - those two young fellas creating headaches for the Roar.
46mins: Roar start the half well. Hingert and Mikkelsen causing a couple of problems but Steven Taylor with a double block prevents the ball frm entering the danger zone.
Second-half: The Nix get us back underway.
Halftime: That's the half. Nix started very well, then the Roar dominated from the 15 minute mark before Wellington finished the half on top. Brisbane look the better side and look to be more capable of long spells with the ball but they have been a bit shaky at the back and Krishna is causing a few headaches.
45 +1mins: Good passage of play form the Roar - great cross pass from O'Toole finds Stefan Mauk in a ton of space - has a dig from 30 but it's just over the bar as Kurto dives full stretch.
42mins: Nix have a corner after nice play from Fenton and Krishna. Comes to nothing.
40mins: Oh another chance blown for the Nix. Great run from Krishna - goes 45 metres, into the box, to the byeline, across the face of goal but Singh didn't continue his run and it's out for a throw. Singh stopped his run looking for the cut-back.
39mins: Chance for the Roar goes begging. O'Toole with a nice run in acres of space, delivers a superb ball that almost finds the head of a diving Taggert - just couldn't quite make a connection.
36mins: Free-kick from Bautheac floats to the back post but Taggert can't direct it. Now a corner for the Nix after a quick counter from Singh and Williams - comes to nothing despte a decent ball from Singh.
32mins: Phoenix have a few scary moments as the Roar attack at will. O'Toole witha seething run into the box, cuts-back to Bautheac but his shot is deflected and cleared.
29mins: Roar in complete control of possesion. Lopez has been impressive but he may want his last moment back - attempts a fairly optomistic chip from 25 yards out but it goes well over Kurto in goal who had it covered.
27mins: Alex Rufer doing some very good work in the holding role - his playing very deep as a fifth defender and is cutting out a lot of Roar attacks.
26mins: The Roar taking over possesion now - they have settled after a woeful start but the Nix holding firm for now.
21mins: Nix looking a bit shaky at the back but survive an effort from Taggert insde the box.
20mins: Nice period of play for Brisbane. Alex Lopez in the thick of things. Doyle clears from a great cross delivered near the head of Adam Taggert and the Nix survive.
17mins: Now Singh misses a great chance. he ghosts through a couple of defenders and fired a low shot to Young's left from the edge of the 18-yard box but it's well wide.
15mins: Scary moment for Young in Brisbane's goal. pass back has him in trouble as he almost trips over himself but manages to clear before Williams could get on the end of it.
12mins: Free-kick is hammered into the wall by Singh - Nix shout for a penalty for handball but waved away by the officials and the VAR is happy with it. Still can't beleive that miss from Taylor. Great start by Wellingtin though.
11mins: Free-kick in a great spot for the Nix - central and 20 yards out. Papadopoulos with a crunching tackle on Mandi.
9mins: Oh My God!! Steven Taylor misses an open goal from 2 yards. Great play from Williams who cuts inside the box and fores a shot to Young's right who saves well but right into teh path of taylor but he hits the post from 2-yards and it's out for a corner.
7mins: Nice play from Cacace down the right earns the nix a second corner. They go short and Fenton delivers in a nice cross but Durante can't quite get his header on goal.
5mins: The Nix with all the running in the opening stanza. Great ball from Fenton into the box is well defended then the Nix have a corner which again is well handeled by the Roar defence.
2mins: Both sides have half chances - Singh shoots from distance for the Nix but it's scuffed and straight to the keeper Jamie Young. Taggert for the Roar almost gets on too a long ball byt Kurto does well to collect.
7.01pm: Phoenix decked out in a nice all white strip, the Roar in their usual light orange home strip.
7.57pm: Teams almost set to hit the park for today's clash. nice day in Brisbane - good conditions for foooty.

Welcome to coverage of the Wellington Phoenix's second game of the 2018-19 A-League season against the Brisbane Roar in Queensland.
The Nix can go top of the table with a win, while the Roar drew first time out against the Central Coast Mariners.
Mark Rudan has named an unchanged line-up for the clash, leaving a strong bench again with Nathan Burns and Matty Nichols providing experienced options later in the match.
