NBA: Steven Adams' double-double not enough to beat Clippers

Steven Adams' second double-double of the season wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Clippers, as the Oklahoma City Thunder fell 108-92.

The Thunder are now 0-2, after losing to NBA champions Golden State Warriors 108-100 on Wednesday (NZ time). Adams scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds in their opening loss.

On Saturday, the Thunder took a 16-point lead into the fourth quarter, but lost the final period by 22 points and were unable to score in the last four minutes.

Adams put up great numbers again, collecting 18 boards and scoring 17 points on 8/11 shooting.

The Thunder played their second game without MVP point guard Russell Westbrook, who is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his knee in September.

The Thunder play their first home game of the season on Monday, where they take on the winless Sacramento Kings.
