New Zealand Football President Deryck Shaw's job in serious jeopardy

New Zealand Football President Deryck Shaw has come under further scrutiny after the resignation of a board member was revealed on Wednesday.

Jon Ormond - who was only appointed to NZF's Executive Committee in May - handed in his resignation as a "conscience vote" after the findings of the comprehensive review in after the Andreas Heraf scandal, saying Shaw's position was "untenable".

If Shaw wasn't under pressure at the press conference last week then he sure is now.

Labelled "too hands off" in the review's findings, the Executive Committee was also accused of failing to act on nine separate occasions in regards to concerns and allegations raised to NZF.

It was those findings that caused Ormond to resign, saying in a statement to the exco he believed "the position of the Chair, and potentially the Board itself was untenable".

That is something Shaw doesn't agree with.

"Stand down? I'm committed to the findings of the review," Shaw said.

Newshub approached New Zealand Football on Wednesday and neither they, nor Shaw wished to comment.
