All Blacks vs Springboks: South Africans name team to face NZ

Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus has made three changes to the starting squad that beat Australia last week to tackle the All Blacks in Pretoria on Sunday (NZ time).

Francois Louw comes in for Sikhumbuzo Notshe at number eight, while Steven Kitshoff will start ahead of Tendai Mtawarira at loosehead prop.

In the only change to the backline, midfielder Damian de Allende comes in for Andre Esterhuizen, who falls out of the match 23.

In total, the Boks will field 13 players who were a part of their famous 36-34 win over the All Blacks in Wellington last month.

Erasmus is expecting a determined All Blacks squad, who will be looking to avenge that two-point loss with a convincing win over their rivals.

"They will test us in every department," said Erasmus. "The All Blacks usually hit back hard after a loss, so we have to be mentally and physically ready for a massive contest.

"We will have to front up in defence and be clinical when we create chances, because the All Blacks punish you for errors and missed opportunities.

"The Springboks versus All Blacks at a packed Loftus, I think it's going to be a special occasion."

The Springboks last beat New Zealand in South Africa in 2014.
