The chaos which ensued after Khabib Nurmagomedov's win over Conor McGregor at UFC 229 was continued by their respective fans, as pockets of violence broke out inside the venue.

Video footage has surfaced of a melee in the T-Mobile Arena's foodcourt, where Irish fans can be seen encircling and chanting at a smaller group of Russian Nurmagomedov supporters.

Fights break out between the taunting, before one of the Irish fans is viciously knocked out with a single punch.

Thousands of fans made the trek across the Atlantic to support McGregor as he made his comeback after a two-year hiatus from the sport.

In Sunday's (NZ time) main event, Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor with a fourth-round submission before leaping outside of the Octagon and brawling with the Irishman's teammates, while McGregor fought with other members of the Russian's team inside it.

Three members of Nurmagomedov 's team were arrested for their part in the mayhem, then later released after McGregor declined to press charges.

UFC president Dana White said he was "disgusted" and "sick" over the incident and that further sanctions would be forthcoming.
