Golf: Mark Brown replaces Danny Lee for World Cup of Golf

  • 17/11/2018

Mark Brown has been named as Danny Lee's replacement to compete alongside Ryan Fox at next week's World Cup of Golf in Melbourne from November 22-25.

Lee withdrew from the event earlier in the week as he didn't want to travel from the US to Australia having just become a father.

Michael Hendry was unable to commit with his Japan Tour card on the line, opening the door for Brown to receive the call-up.

The Tauranga professional who has won on the European Tour, Asian Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and the Jennian Homes Charles Tour will compete in his second World Cup of Golf having participated 10 years ago in 2008.

The 43-year-old has been preparing for the summer swing of PGA Tour of Australasia events and is well prepared for next week's challenge.

Sir Bob Charles and Walter Godfrey recorded New Zealand's best finish to date in 1967 when they finished second.
