The Auckland Tuatara have snapped a four-game losing streak and boosted their playoff ambitions, with a thumping 10-5 win over Geelong-Korea on Friday.

After losing all four games to the Sydney Blue Sox last weekend, the Tuatara bounced back with a come-from-behind win to give their playoff ambitions a boost.

The Tuatara had 15 hits, while belting three home runs on the evening, with shortstop Taylor Snyder, third baseman Kris Richards and left-fielder Zach Clark all clearing the fences at Geelong Baseball Stadium.

Six Aucklanders recorded multi-hit games, with Clark and Richards leading the way with three.

The Tuatara didn't start well, falling behind early, before Snyder broke out of his own mini-slump with a two-run shot to deep left-centre to erase the early 1-0 deficit.

Starting pitcher Jimmy Boyce worked hard again in a solid start, but ran into some trouble in the fifth, when he gave up three runs.

At the top the eighth, with the hosts ahead 5-2, the Tuatara roared to life, as they piled on six runs to take control of the game. Zach Clark took advantage of some base runners and hit a huge shot that landed in the carpark to put his side in front.

Auckland relief-pitcher Brandon Marklund was sharp to close out the game, as the Tuatara held on to claim their fifth win of the season.

Two more games are scheduled for Saturday, while a final game is set for Sunday afternoon.
