New Zealand Breakers star Tai Wesley has copped a fine for his outburst at an official during the Round Seven clash with the Perth Wildcats.

Referee Michael Aylen reported Wesley for comments he made towards him during the last quarter of the game.

The matter was referred to the tribunal and Wesley was found to have a case to answer.

The power forward pleaded no contest and accepted an AU$1000 fine, but no suspension.

This comes just a week after coach Kevin Braswell was issued an AU$500 fine for abusing officials in a post-match media conference rant.

Braswell let rip after the Breakers' 108-101 defeat at the hands of Melbourne United in November.

Wesley is free to play against the Sydney Kings on Saturday.
