Welcome to live coverage of the WBC heavyweight title fight between 'The Bronze Bomber' Deontay Wilder and 'The Gypsy King' Tyson Fury.

Wilder's reign as champion stretches back to 2015 when he won a decision victory over fellow American Bermane Stirverne.

The 33-year-old has stopped out every fighter he has fought with an incredible record of 40-0 with 39 knockouts.

Last time out Wilder became the first man to beat Luis Ortiz, stopping the Cuban in the 10th round of an instant classic back in May.

Fury, the former lineal heavyweight champion of the world retired after his 2015 win over the great Wladimir Klitschko in Germany. Struggling with personal demons and lack of motivation, the 30-year-old packed on the pounds and faded into the boxing wilderness.

But June 2018 marked his return to the ring when Fury stopped Sefer Seferi – in August he topped journeyman Italian Francesco Pianeta to set up his date with destiny against Wilder.

The winner of this fight is set to share in a $200 million purse with Anthony Joshua in a unification bout early next year.

Big stakes in Los Angeles this afternoon.
