Former Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson has been seen in Cronulla with members of the Sharks franchise, as a deal with the franchise appears imminent
The playmaker's time at the Warriors came to an abrupt end on Wednesday, when he was granted immediate release from the final year of his reported million-dollar contract.

The Sharks immediately emerged as the favourites to snap up the 28-year-old, with space in their salary cap available after the departure of Valentine Holmes, who is moving to the US to try to crack the NFL.
But a deal now looks set to happen after the Cronulla public took to social media to say the free agent was seen in the Sutherland Shire with Sharks coach Shane Flanagan, star forward Andrew Fifita and co-captain Wade Graham.
A photo was taken of the crew at the beach, while Johnson was spotted eating breakfast at a coffee shop.
Johnson's arrival would allow him to partner Chad Townsend in the halves, while Matt Moylan would return to fullback in Holmes' absence.
He is expected to sign a three-year deal, set to be confirmed by Monday at the latest.
