The Parramatta Eels may be considering a poaching raid that would see Kiwi hooker Issac Luke head to Sydney.

The Sydney Morning Herald revealed Parramatta may offer a more lucrative deal to the veteran hooker than the one he signed with the Warriors, which would see him in blue and gold in 2019/2020.

Luke is contracted to the Warriors for the upcoming season on a reduced contract. His deal is understood to be about NZ$160,000, but comes with the proviso that he would be released, if another club offered a more lucrative deal.

The Sydney Morning Herald claims the Eels are set to offer Luke NZ$755,000 for the next two seasons.

The Eels fell short in luring George Burgess away from the South Sydney Rabbitohs earlier this week, when he turned down a big-money offer to remain with brothers Sam and Tom at Redfern.

Parramatta are reportedly keen to add experience to their pack and see Luke as the perfect candidate to fill that void, especially given his contract status with the Warriors.
