Biography

Shakib currently captains his country in test and T20 formats, and is considered Bangladesh's greatest cricketer.

Holds the record for an ICC top-ranking among all-rounders for eight years. He is the first and only player to rank as the top all-rounder in all three formats.

Shakib has the highest score by a Bangladesh batsman in tests (217) and became their first bowler to 200 test wickets.

In 2014, the Bangladesh Cricket Board banned him for six months for a "severe attitude problem" and was prohibited from foreign tournaments for an additional 12 months.

Shakib was only the third all-rounder to score a test century and 10-wicket haul in the same match - the others were Sir Ian Botham and Imran Khan.
