Biography:

Chahal began his competitive life as a chess player, representing India internationally at youth levels, before turning his full attention to cricket.

Making his name in the IPL, he first played for India in the Twenty20 format, going on to become one of only two players in T20 history to have recorded a six-wicket haul. In 2017, he took the most T20 international wickets of any bowler (23).

Chahal was soon called up to the ODI squad, starring against Australia with a five-wicket bag at the MCG.

He sits eighth in the ICC world rankings for ODI bowlers.
