Rugby League: Konrad Hurrell sprayed by sprinkler during pre-game interview

Rugby league star Konrad Hurrell got more than he bargained for when he copped a soaking from an automatic sprinkler during a pre-match interview on Friday (NZ time).

Hurrell was talking to Sky Sports UK ahead of the Leeds Rhinos' away match against Hull Kingston Rovers at KCOM Craven Park when the sprinkler started spraying the 27-year-old.

The Tongan international quickly jumped for cover as he let out a massive scream, but he quickly saw the funny side of it.

Later on in the match, Hurrell was a man on a mission as he scored four of the Rhinos' five tries against Hull.

His carrer-best haul though wasn't enough to lead his team to victory as Leeds suffered their eighth loss of the season in a 45-26 defeat.

Hurrell is in his first season for Leeds Rhinos, having signed a three-year deal with the club last year.

Before playing in the Super League, Hurrell played 114 NRL matches, including 71 for the Warriors between 2012-16.
