The All Black Sevens have finished sixth at the Singapore leg of the World Sevens Series.
After losing to Fiji 19-5 in the quarter-finals, they went onto beat Australia 27-22 in the fifth-placed semi-final before losing to Samoa in the 19-17 in the playoff final.
It's their second straight sixth-placing in the series.
South Africa went onto win the tournament with a stunning comeback over Fiji.
Three first half tries meant Fiji held a 19-0 lead at the break, but the Blitzboks battled back with three tries of their own, before slotting a last-minute penalty goal to win the match.
There are two tournaments left this season, with the next taking place in England on May 26-27 (NZ time), before the series finale in France.
The USA still sit atop the standings on 145 points, with Fiji thre behind on 142. New Zealand is a further 12 back on 130 and South Africa is fourth with 121.
