Ronda Rousey has hinted motherhood could end her athletic career.
The first-ever UFC women's champion is on hiatus from sports entertainment giant WWE to start a family with husband Travis Browne, also a former UFC fighter.
Rousey is two weeks removed from WrestleMania 35, where she dropped the Raw Women's Championship to Becky Lynch in a historic all-women's main event.
The 32-year-old broke two knuckles on her right hand during the match, which ultimately scuppered WWE's plans to wrap up the heated storyline with Lynch the following night.
Speaking to Yahoo Sport, Rousey confirmed she had two screws inserted into her hand and would wear a cast, while she and Browne took a well-earned holiday around the globe.
As for what comes after the trip, Rousey was non-committal about her professional future.
"We want to have a baby first," Rousey told Yahoo Sport. "I don't know what it's like to have a baby.
"I could look down at this beautiful child and be like, 'f*** everything, I don't care about anything else other than this baby', and you'll never see me again."

Rousey signed a three-year contract with WWE in January 2018, after her UFC career ended a year earlier.
The Olympic judo bronze medallist retired from mixed martial arts after a devastating knockout loss to current bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes.
A lifelong fan of professional wrestling, Rousey took on the 'Rowdy' nickname made famous by Roddy Piper in the 1970s and 80s.
She made her WWE debut at WrestleMania a year ago, producing a star-making performance, alongside WWE veterans Kurt Angle and Triple H.
Rousey claimed WWE gold in August, holding the title, until her loss in New Jersey to Lynch.
While admitting to Yahoo Sport that she 'fell in love' with her new career, the next part of her life would be dedicated to her family, but she hadn't shut the door on a return to the squared circle.
"I could be like my mum, who trained while she was eight months pregnant and then won the US Judo Open six weeks after giving birth, which was unbelievable," she said.
"I don't think I'm going to try and aspire to her level, but I’m just saying, you never know.
"The thing is, I don't want to make any promises about the future, when I don’t know how I'm going to feel in the future."
But Browne, who has also been linked to the WWE, doesn't think Rousey's in-ring days are over.
"You'll see her again."
