For the third time in his career, Kiwi boxing star Joseph Parker has missed the birth of a child - daughter Michaela Florence Parker.

The latest edition to his family arrived on Saturday and was announced on Parker's Instagram account, with little Michaela wearing a 'Team Parker' baby hat.

Parker and partner Laine now have three girls - Michaela joins Elizabeth, 2, and 10-month-old Shiloh.

But the former heavyweight world champion has been halfway around the world for all three births, preparing for upcoming fights under trainer Kevin Barry at his Las Vegas base.

Parker's manager David Higgins is still trying to confirm the fighter's next outing, after his proposed bout against Dereck Chisora on April 20 fell through.

His last contest was a third-round knockout victory over American Alexander 'The Great' Flores in Christchurch last December.

Parker missed the birth of Shiloh, while preparing for his loss to Briton Dillian Whyte.
