NBA: Kawhi Leonard's insane buzzer-beater sends Toronto Raptors to conference finals

A remarkable Kawhi Leonard buzzer-beater has sent the entire city of Toronto into raptures.

The hometown Raptors advanced to the NBA Eastern Conference finals with a thrilling 92-90 game-seven win over the Philadelphia 76ers, with Leonard's running jump-shot stealing the show.

Sixers star forward Jimmy Butler tied the game with four seconds left, leaving the Raptors only a slim chance at avoiding overtime.

Naturally, the ball ended up in Leonard's hands. One of the NBA's best players had already fuelled Toronto's offence, scoring 39 points to that point, but he blew the roof off the Novascotia Center with his gamewinner.

It wasn't a pretty shot - the ball bounced on the rim four times, before trickling through the net and sending home fans into a state of delirium, as Raptors players mobbed their talisman.

The result sees Toronto head to their first conference finals since 2016, where they will face Giannis Antetokounmpo and the NBA's season-best Milwaukee Bucks.

In the west, the Portland Trail Blazers will face the Golden State Warriors, after a game-seven 100-96 win in Denver.
