Retired NRL superstar Greg Inglis has been admitted to a Sydney rehabilitation clinic.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Inglis will be treated for alcohol and depression issues.
The 32-year-old retired from the game on April 15, citing numerous injuries and fatigue.
His former club, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, have reportedly confirmed Inglis will undergo treatment to assist with and support his mental health.
In recent weeks, the NRL had been made aware of personal demons confronting a “depressed and very fragile” Inglis, who is said to be struggling with life without rugby league.
At the time of Inglis' retirement, NRL boss Todd Greenberg stated the league would continue to support the Queenslander as he transitioned into retirement.
Inglis will reportedly remain in care for several months.
