The Highlanders have recalled All Black winger Waisake Naholo to their starting line-up to face the Stormers at Newlands on Sunday (NZ time).

The All Blacks wing hasn't played in two months due to a knee injury sustained during a Highlanders training session after their 32-26 defeat against the Blues.

The 28-year-old was due to return last week against the Lions after being named on the bench, but hours before kick-off he was omitted from the team.

He is leaving at the end of the year to play in the UK with London Irish, but has been out of form in 2019, playing in five games without scoring a try.

With Naholo back, Jordan Hyland moves to the left wing and Sio Tomkinson shifts in the centres, while Teihorangi Walden drops out of the matchday 23 due to injury.

In the pack Daniel Lienert-Brown starts at prop and Pari Pari Parkinson at lock, while in the back row, Elliot Dixon will start at number eight with James Lentjes named at openside flanker.

Marty Banks, who only recently arrived in South Africa as injury cover, was named on the bench.
