Three off the over , just one run needed now.

31st over: Aftab to bowl.

Six singles off the over, just five needed now.

30th over: Hassan to continue.

Over pitched and flicked away for four - Kane is in a mood to get this over quickly.

He follows it up with a single - and with that he has faced his 20,000th delivery.

Six off the over - just 11 runs needed to win.

29th over: Gulbadin to bowl.

Latham tucks a ball into the leg side for a single.

Three singles to start the over, the Kane Williamson bullies a short ball through the covers for four.

LBW shout - umpire says no, it looked close, they can't review.

Single from Latham through the covers.

Two off the over.

27th over: Gulbadin to continue.

Lovely from Williamson who just continues to rotate the strike and score with twos and singles.

Seven off the over.

26th over: Aftab to bowl.

Both batsmen rotating strike late on here - looking at another big win.

Another mis-field - a pull shot from Taylor goes through the legs of fine leg for four.

WICKET! A full toss to Taylor and he misses a straight one, and it cannons into the base of off stump. Taylor 48 b Aftab.

Really soft from Taylor - that's all I can really say about that.

Another full toss, this time it's Latham - he drives it straight down the ground for four.

10 off the over.

25th over: Nabi to bowl.

Massive from Taylor, over cow corner and it's six more - a glorious classic Taylor slog sweep.

11 off the over and 50 for Kane Williamson.

24th over: Rahmat to bowl.

Williamson works a single into the leg side, as does Taylor - crusing here.

Looks to be three wins from three - impressive but a must after playing the three worst teams in the tournament.

Four off the last from Williamson.

Lots of singles for these two - just inching away.

An edge from Taylor and it flies over the keeper for four.

Six from the over.

22nd over: Rahmat to bowl.

The Kiwi boys just doing what they need to so far here, looking to pick away at singles and slashing at the bad balls - nothing silly from these two.

Four off the over.

21st over: Gulbadin to bowl.

Great cut shot from Kane - four more, and a no ball, free hit coming.

He gets a full toss but can only get a single to long-on.

Over - six from it, 92 runs needed to win.

Three runs off the over - Kane Williamson really struggling to gain any momentum - but he's ticking along.

A short ball to Kane and he pulls it away into the leg side for two.

Three off the over.

14th over: Nabi to bowl.

Another really bad mix up from Taylor and Williamson and Kane is nealry run out, wow that was close.

Three off the over.

13th over: Gulbadin to bowl.

The captain is bowling really well at the moment - looks the most likely to pick up a wicket, a huge wicket it would be too.

Great cut shot from Taylor - too much width and he cuts it for four.

FIve off the over.

12th over: Nabi to bowl.

The first over of spin for the match.

Taylor hits one down to long on for a single.

Five off the over.

11th over: Gulbadin to bowl.

Williamson is slightly out at the moment - nothing flowing , but he will battle through.

Really good bowling from the Afghanistan captain! Making Williamson play and miss a few.

10th over: Aftab to bowl.

Very close there - Kane Williamson goes for a pull shot but it falls short of mid-wicket, big let off there.

Another short ball and Taylor is onto it in a flash and pulls it for four.

An LVW appeal against Ross Taylor but the umpire says no - far too high anyway.

9th over: Gulbadin to bowl.

Taylor is off the mark - a flick into the leg side.

Rashid Kahn will not return to the game after failing a concussion test after getting hit off the bowling of Ferguson earlier.

Four runs from Kane Williamson, lovely cut shot through point.

Play and miss from Williamson - big appeal annd they've gone upstairs, umpire says no. Nothing there - review lost. Williamson not out.

8th over: Aftab to bowl.

Munro steals a single into the leg side - good ratation of strike from these two.

A good over for the bowling team, two from it and a wicket.

7th over: Gulbadin to bowl.

Munro top edges one but it falls short of third man, he needs to stay patient here.

Great running, Munro blocks one into the off side and they steal a single.

An inside edge from Williamson and it goes past the stumps for four.

5th over: Aftab to bowl.

Too straight to Williamson, he will flick you into the leg side for a single all day long.

Munro works one into the leg side - he looks more controlled but you feel like he is about to walk at the bowler. We will see.

4th over: Hassan to bowl.

A leading edge from Munro and is very lucky not to be walking back - it clears everyone and is gathered on the boundary, single.

Williamson works another single into the leg side.

Four more from Munro - driven through the covers.

A great spell from Boult - no wickets but he has bowled pretty well today.

0/34 off his 10.

Frustrating now for the Kiwis - just need one more wicket but they can't seem to grab it.

Single off the third ball of the over, flicked into the deep.

Another close one from Henry - an edge flies to Ross Taylor - he gets a hand to it but can't hold on.

The best spell of Neesham's career is over - 5/31 off his 10 overs! great work from the all-rounder.

More rain around and the covers are coming back on - frustrating, shouldn't be too long once again - i'll update you when I can.

23rd over: Boult to bowl.

A short ball to start - NZ could be looking for one or two more and then they can really get into the tail.

Not bad that over from Neesham - 22 overs gone.

Cut for a single off the next.

The covers are coming off here - play shouldn't be too far away from returning.

It shouldn't be too big of a delay, lots of wind around and just seems to be one cloud. I'll update when I can.

A big bit of rain comes over the ground and the teams are off the field - should blow over, fingers crossed.

20th over: Neesham to bowl.

Single off the fourth ball - a lul in the game at the moment with the Blackcaps well on top. Controlling the game.

In the other game on at the moment - England have just set a massive 387 runs for Bangladesh to win.

Three wickets in 11 balls - no runs scored. Great comeback from the Kiwis.

Slapped - down the ground for four from Galbadin. Still a really good over.

12th over: Ferguson to bowl.

WICKET! Boom the other set batter, Noor Ali is gone, a shortish ball from Ferguson feathered down the leg side to Latham. Noor Ali 31 b Ferguson c Latham.

Now is the chance for the Blackcaps to put the foot on the throttle - two new batsmen, need to keep the pressure on.

Great bouncer to follow it up.

Wicket maiden from Ferguson - great bowling.

11th over: James Neesham to bowl.

On the money straight away from Neesh - just beats the outside edge.

Another drive from Noor Ali - down the ground, the ball is doing absolutely nothing and the Kiwis could be in trouble here.

WICKET! The breakthrough the Kiwis desperately needed, its full and Hazratullah finds the fielder in the deep in the off side. Hazratullah 34 c Munro b Neesham. Soft wicket but the Kiwis will take it.

He keeps swinging - into the off side this time and it's four more.

12 off the over, that will proabably be it for Henry for this spell.

Too full from Boult and Noor Ali drives it down the ground for four. Great shot.

Dot to finish, six off the over.

5th over: Henry to bowl.

Gorgeous from Noor Ali, overpitched from Henry and he drives him down the ground for four.

Super high in the air from Hazratullah - it falls in between two fielders, very lucky there.

Swinging for the hills here, somethings got to give. The same thing! Wow, no calling in the field and the shot falls safe again.

8 off the over, should be a couple down to be fair.

4th over: Boult to bowl.

Really nice from Boult - on the money, but both batsmen look up to it, pitch not doing anything really at all - there is a stiff breeze but not alot of movement.

One off it.

3rd over: Henry to continue.

A big heave from Hazratullah nealry finds the fielder - just a single.

Really good areas from Henry - forcing the batsmen to play, looking to catch an edge.

Two off the over

2nd over: Trent Boult has the other new ball.

A couple of singles through the first three ball off Boult - good areas early from both bowlers to be fair.

Boult gets an in swinger but Noor Ali squeezes it for two through the covers.

Four off the over.

1st over: Here we go - Matt Henry with the new ball, the first over about to be bowled.

On the money the first two balls from Henry, but he slides his third ball too leg side and its pulled for four.

His fourth ball is a good ball, but it takes the top edge and flies over first slip.

Hazratullah slashes the next ball for four across the line into the leg side.

Kia ora, and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Cricket World Cup match between the Blackcaps and Afghanistan.

Pre-match chat: Blackcaps, White Ferns schedules confirmed for 2019/20 summer

The Blackcaps will host the world's best cricket teams this summer, with England, India and Australia touring New Zealand for the 2019/20 season.

On Friday, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced its home programme for 2019/20 campaign, which runs nearly five months, between November and April.

The international schedule will start with England arriving in late October, playing five T20s and two tests - the first at Mt Maunganui's Bay Oval, which will become New Zealand's ninth test venue.

England is ranked second in the T20 rankings and fourth in tests.

After a three-test series in Australia, Gary Stead's side will face India in a blockbuster tour that includes five T20s, three ODIs and two tests at Wellington's Basin Reserve and Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

India is ranked fifth in T20s, second in ODIs and first in tests.

The Blackcaps then fly back to Australia for three ODIs, before returning home to face their trans-Tasman rivals in three T20s.

Australia is fifth in tests and ODIs, and fourth in T20s.

The White Ferns will also host South Africa for three ODIs and five T20s, including a solitary doubleheader with the Blackcaps at Mt Maunganui in February, before heading to Australia for the Women's T20 World Cup.

South Africa is fifth and sixth in ODI and T20 rankings.

NZC chief executive David White feels this will be the biggest summer of cricket ever in New Zealand, outside of the two World Cups that were jointly hosted in 1992 and 2015.

"We're simply delighted with the way it's all fitted together," he said.

"It speaks volumes of the regard in which the Blackcaps and White Ferns are held that we can attract such a wealth of talent over the course of one summer.

"We're particularly thrilled for all those involved in securing Bay Oval as New Zealand's ninth test venue.

"A lot of people have worked hard for this recognition and I'm sure the venue will continue to go from strength to strength."

The Blackcaps are currently in England, preparing for their third Cricket World Cup match against Afghanistan at Taunton's County Ground on Sunday (NZT).
