Extra time - Warriors 18 Panthers 19

85th minute: Penrith reach the Warriors 20 and ball comes back to Maloney, with Blaie breathing down his neck.

He doesn't miss twice - that's the game. Great game, but not the result the Warriors wanted.

Heartbreaking.

84th minute: Passi takes it down the guts, Green's dropped kick is charged down and Mansour makes good ground.

83rd minute: Maloney takes a pot at goal from about 35m out, but it drifts left and long. Seven tackles for the Warriors.

82nd minute: RTS eventually tracks down the kick from Maloney, but the Warriors aren't making much ground.

Maumalo eventually chips upfield and it takes a wicked bounce, before Edwards grabs it.

81st minute: If Golden Point is set up for any player, it's Maloney.

Herbert's long kickoff almost goes dead in goal, but Tamou eventually charges up.

Second half - Warriors 18 Panthers 18

80th minute: RTS takes the long kickoff, Passi charges forward. Tevaga is tackled and the siren sounds - we have extra time and Golden Point.

79th minute: Herbert takes a short, high kickoff and Penrith knock on, with Maloney gathering from an offside position.

Herbert points to the posts. He makes it tie the scores.

78th minute: TRY to Naden. The Penrith centre receives the ball inside his own 20 and takes off upfield.

Fusitu'a chase, RTS chases, but they can't catch him before the line. That's a heartbreaker.

Maloney converts - he gets the last laugh perhaps.

76th minute: Passi runs to the line, Lawton is held up. RTS runs right and finds Fusitu'a cutting inside and taken in a head-high tackle.

Not called.

75th minute: RTS jinks upfield, loses the ball in a tackle, but Tamou is penalised for some extra attention.

74th minute: Luai kicks high, RTS is safe.

73rd minute: Green kicks high to To'o, who beats a couple of tackles.

72nd minute: Maloney kicks to the goal, but Nikorima takes a point-blank catch to snuff out the opportunity. Brialliant.

71st minute: Nikorima makes a sniping run and slips a pass to Tevaga, but Warriors cough the ball up and Penrith are heading back upfield.

70th minute: Luai tries to slip a short pass to a charging Naden, but he can't handle it and drops it 10m out.

68th minute: Penrith have a roll on, Lauai tosses a long pass, but the defence is good.

To'o kicks to the goal area, but it's deflected dead by the Warriors. Line dropout and they're barely hanging on.

67th minute: Green kicks to To'o, who can't gather under pressure, but Penrith recover.

66th minute: RTS jumps high to gather a high kick from Maloney.

65th minute: Roache darts from dummy half, but his knee buckles under him and he goes down. Looks like he's picked up another injury in his first game back from the previous one.

Green puts up a high kick, and Mansour jumps high and hits the ground running.

64th minute: Maloney threatens to break the line, but Blair wraps him up.

63rd minute: Green tries to weight the kick towards the goal-line, but Edwards is equal to the task.

62nd minute: Maloney kicks along the ground, it's deflected, but RTS gathers.

60th minute: Maloney barely grasps the ball on the last and puts a grubber kick to the goal area. Maumalo charges out.

59th minute: Nikorima kicks to the corner on the last and finds touch.

58th minute: Kikau tries to kick on the last, but Papli'i charges it down and drops on it.

57th minute: Luai gets to within a couple of metres of the line, but the ball is dropped and the Warriors break out of defence.

55th minute: Luai puts a kick to the goal-line and RTS is involved in a heavy collision with Naden, but Roache is there to tidy up.

Goal-line dropout.

54th minute: Penrith back to 13 men with Luai's return.

52nd minute: TRY to Naden. Maloney lobs a kick towards the goal-line and RTS seems to have it covered, but Naden is taller and snatches it out of his hands for the try.

Maloney converts.

51st minute: Green kicks high, Edwards rises high to grab it in traffic.

50th minute: Maloney's rolling kick is fielded by Maumalo.

49th minute: Martin is back on the field, so Penrith back to 12 men. Green kicks long, but the ball bounces sideways away from the sideline, avoiding the 40/20.

47th minute: Green is tackled and RTS gets a scrambled kick through. Kikau is left dazed in the tackle.

46th minute: Maloney's kick bounces awkwardly for RTS, but he eventually tracks it down.

45th minute: Warriors are shifting the ball along the backline. Maumalo eventually grubber-kicks on the last.

44th minute: TRY to Fusitu'a. From the penalty, the ball goes quickly right and Fusitu'a somehow stays in the field of play and grounds the ball in the corner.

Words cannot do justice to the gymnastics needed to achieve that - even the bunker was incredulous with its confirmation. Maloney is still spewing over the Luai binning.

Herbert misses the sideline conversion.

43rd minute: Maumalo makes big ground up the left touchline and kicks infield, where RTS tries to gather. He's taken out and the refs rule a professional foul, sending Luai to the bin.

Now the Warriors are two men up. Replays show Luai was pretty unlucky, RTS had already knocked on and seemed to trip over himself.

42nd minute: Maloney puts a little grubber through the defence and Naden chases, kicks and eventually beats RTS to the grounding.

It's called no try and replays show Naden knocked the ball onto his foot - play on. Luckily for the Warriors, he also knocked on in the grounding, so no try.

Phew.

41st minute: Penrith kick off, Green kicks to the left wing and To'o brings the ball back.

Remember, the Panethers still have Liam Martin in the bin.

First half - Warriors 12 Panthers 6

40th minute: Maloney kicks high, RTS safe under pressure and the halftime siren sounds. Warriors are good for their lead and will have the man advantage for a few more minutes, when play resumes for the second half.

39th minute: Green kicks high, Edwards safe.

38th minute: Maloney kicks off and Afoa charges back at the Panthers.

37th minute: TRY to Afoa. Warriors now a man up and pressuring the line.

Afoa muscles over with three tacklers on his back - he clearly grounds the ball safely and the decision is confirmed by the bunker.

Herbert converts.

36th minute: Another penalty and Sutton has had enough, Martin is off for 10 min. Sutton threatens Maloney with the same fate, if he continues to argue.

35th minute: Green kicks high, Edwards takes easily.

To'o tries to play the ball, but puts it on Tevaga's foot and knocks on.

34th minute: Maloney kicks high, RTS safe.

33rd minute: Green kicks high to the posts and Edwards juggles, before securing the catch.

32nd minute: Maloney kicks off, Lisone busts upfield and brushes Kikau aside.

30th minute: Blair draws another penalty and ref Gerard Sutton warns Penrith. Herbert lines up a kick at goal that would lock the scores up and finds his mark.

29th minute: Afora wrestles to the line on the last tackle and draws a penalty. Good opportunity for the Warriors.

28th minute: Afoa grabs Martin by the ankle and he loses the ball - both teams making fundamental errors now.

RTS dashes upfield and draws a penalty in the tackle.

26th minute: Green knocks the ball from Luai's grasp and Warriors have good field position near halfway. Tevaga then turns the ball over but trying to force a pass.

25th minute: Blair dashes towards the line and from the play-the-ball, Lawton dives over, but it's called no try on the field.

The bunker rules obstruction by Blair.

24th minute: Papali'i strips the ball in a tackle. Tevaga loses the ball in a tackle, but there's a hand in there and he gets the penalty.

22nd minute:  Ball moves right, but Herbert tries a desperate pass behind his back to Fusitu'a and finds only touch.

21st minute: Warriors kick off and Tamou takes the first hit-up. Maloney puts up a high kick, but his chasers knock the ball on.

18th minute: TRY to Tamou. The pressure had to tell eventually.

Maloney tried to kick to the line, but it's deflected by RTS, straight back to Maloney, who runs and puts Tamou over by the posts.

Maloney converts for the lead.

17th minute: Tamou makes ground inside the 20. Warriors are pinged for offside and Penrith take the tap 10m out.

]14th minute: Kikau makes a huge bust up the middle and is eventually felled by Papali'i. Panthers are throwing the ball around and eventually die in possession.

13th minute: Warriors are pressing, but RTS tries to offload and it's knocked back by Penrith.

12th minute: Green puts a high kick to the corner for Fusitua, but Mansour knocks it dead. Penrith dropout.

11th minute: Ah Mau loses the ball in a tackle, but there's a Penrith hand and they're penalised. Warriors on a roll.

10th minute: Maloney's high kick is taken by the posts by RTS. Maumalo makes a strong run up the middle and Hiku is awarded a penalty in the tackle.

Ninth minute: Penrith kick off, Green's kick for distance is fielded on the full by Edwards.

Sixth minute: TRY to Hiku, who is over in the corner. It's called a try on the field, but will go to the bunker for review - confirmed.

Herbert misses the sideline conversion.

Fifth minute: Nikorima's kick is charged down, RTS regathers and draws a penalty in the tackle. Green finds touchon halfway.

Fourth minute: Luai kicks to the line, but Fusitua defuses the situation.

Second minute: Nikorima kicks along the ground after the Warriors first set. Warriors are penalised in a tackle, giving Penrith good position.

First minute: Warriors kick off, Penrith have first use of the ball, Kikau makes good ground with his first run.

Maloney kicks high, taken safely by Maumalo.

James Tamou leading Penrith out onto the park, born in Palmy, but an Aussie international... mutter, mutter.

Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the NRL match between the NZ Warriors and Penrith Panthers at Mt Smart Stadium.

Six weeks ago, the Warriors claimed a 30-10 win over the Panthers and they'll hope for another win against Ivan Cleary's men, who are without playmaker Nathan Cleary.

A win could see the Warriors climb to 10th on the NRL ladder and it's crucial they come away with two points, as several teams around them on the standings - including the Panthers - have a bye next week.

Pre-game chat: Warriors' Nathaniel Roache returns at Issac Luke's expense for Penrith Panthers match

Warriors Blake Green and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will mark special career milestones in their clash with the Penrith Panthers at Mt Smart Stadium.

On Sunday, the two backs will each bring up their 150th NRL appearance, when they take on the struggling Sydney-siders.

Meanwhile, hooker Issac Luke has been dumped from the game-day squad completely to make way for the returning Nate Roache.

Roache has recovered from a back injury sustained in the win over the Dragons in early May and will start from the bench, behind Karl Lawton, who'll don the number-nine jersey.

Forwards Sam Lisone and Leivaha Pulu have both been recalled to cover the injury absences of Tohu Harris and Lachlan Burr. Lisone is back for the first time since round five, while Pulu is set for his first outing this season.

Harris will be out for up to six weeks, after surgery on a stress fracture in his foot picked up late in the win over the Titans on June 14, while Burr is being rested due to general soreness and is expected to be available for selection next week.

Adam Blair has been switched to the second row, while Jazz Tevaga starts at loose forward.

The last time the two sides met in May, the Warriors emerged with an emphatic 30-10 win.

The 14th-placed Panthers will also be without star playmaker Nathan Cleary, who will miss the next month, after injuring an ankle in the game two of the State of Origin series on Sunday.
