NRL 2019: NZ Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck named in top 10 highest-paid players

NZ Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been listed among the highest-paid players in the NRL.

Foxsports.com.au has revealed the 10 richest current contracts in the competition, with Tuivasa-Sheck named as the third-highest salary in the league.

Along with Tuivasa-Sheck, Kieran Foran and Jason Taumalolo are the other New Zealand players to be named in the list. While Auckland-born Taumalolo plays internationally for Tonga, he remains Kiwi-eligible.

Tuivasa-Sheck signed a four-year deal with the Warriors until the end of 2022, after fending off interest from New Zealand Rugby.

The 26-year-old became the first Warriors player to win the Dally M Award, as 2018 NRL Player of the Year.

Taumalolo is only two years into a mammoth 10-season deal that sees him contracted to the Cowboys until 2027.

Overall, the roll call consists of eight backs and two forwards, with halfback being the most common position with five listed.
