New Zealand's 'Yolk Ferns' have been crowned champions, after winning the world egg-throwing title in England.
University students Ben McColgan and Lachie Davidson, both 21, took the 2019 title in the English village of Swaton, near Peterborough.
The pair told The AM Show last week that they hope to crack a throw of 60m, which they achieved to claim glory.
"We got it done. Won the world champs at 60m. It’s coming home baby," their Instagram post proclaimed.
McColgan and Davidson finished second at the New Zealand Rural Games in Palmerston North in March, but had to scramble to prepare for the world event, after the local winners couldn't make the trip.
The win adds to New Zealand's recent success at the games. Last year, Kiwi duo Riki Paewai and Nick Hornstein won the title, while the previous year, Hornstein and Robbie Hollander threw an egg-ceptional 81m to claim the title, poaching the former record of 76.2m by nearly five metres.
Other events at the world egg-throwing championships included a 'Russian roulette' discipline and a egg-throwing static relay.
