Only one team stands in the way of the Blackcaps and the Cricket World Cup semi-final, Pakistan.

They are looking for a miracle after winning the toss and electing to bat first against Bangladesh, their only option of progressing to the knock-out stages.

Pakistan needs to beat the Tigers by a lot because of their negative run rate.

If Pakistan score 350 they will need to bowl Bangladesh out for 38, if they score 400 then they'll need to restrict the Tigers to 84, resulting in a world record winning margin.

Batting first was the only option they had; if they had bowled first it would've been mathematically impossible to make the top four given their net run rate.

Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and immediately made the call to bat - being applauded by the hundreds of Pakistan fans in the crowd.
