==========================================================

Latest forecasts from Manchester suggest rain will disrupt Tuesday night's Cricket World Cup semi-final between the Blackcaps and India at Edgbaston.

Newshub correspondent Lloyd Burr reports the weather is "a bit up and down" at the venue, as morning dawns in England.

"One minute it's raining and then it clears up," says Burr. "The forecast is for it to be pretty erratic throughout the day.

"The chances of rain range from 10-60 percent throughout the afternoon, but for the sake of the passionate fans here, I really do hope we do get to play some cricket."

Match officials have the ability to reduce the number of overs from 50 to 20, or abandon play altogether and reconvene on Wednesday's reserve day.

If no play is possible over the next two days, India will progress, as the highest-placed team in group play.
