Cricket World Cup 2019: Rashid Khan's bizarre wicket celebration against West Indies

Afghanistan haven't had much to celebrate during their Cricket World Cup campaign - and maybe now we should be quietly thankful of that.

As they chased their first victory in their final group game against the West Indies, master spin bowler Rashid Khan looked like he had been saving his own personal party for just the right moment to unleash.

It was straight-up spooky.

As Windies opener Evin Lewis lobbed an outfield catch to Mohammad Nabi, Khan struck a weird pose midpitch that had The AM Show crew in hysterics.

Host Duncan Garner shook his head: "I can't explain it, I don't understand it."

Khan is the world's top-ranked T20 bowler, but has been disappointing in the one-day format over the past month, taking just six wickets at an average of 69.33 runs and an economy rate of 5.79 per over.

The West Indies won the contest between the two bottom teams on the World Cup table, scoring 311/6 and then dismissing Afghanistan for 288.
