NRL 2019: Jazz Tevaga celebrates 50 games for Warriors against Sharks

Nuggety NZ Warriors forward Jazz Tevaga will back up from his massive 90-minute effort last week to celebrate 50 NRL first-grade against Cronulla Sharks in Wellington on Friday.

At just 94kg, Tevaga, 23, reeled off 72 tackles in the 18-18 golden-point draw against Brisbane, while also running for 184 metres.

He will take his place in the second row for an unchanged Warriors line-up to face the Sharks in their 10th 'home' outing in the capital.

Regular centre Patrick Herbert is still out with a hamstring injury, replaced by Gerard Beale, while rookie Chanel Harris-Tavita maintains his dummy-half role off the bench.

After a two-month absence from the top team, Harris-Tavita returned against the Broncos and almost scored a match-winning try in added time, chopped down only metres from the line by Brisbane prop Payne Haas.

Big winger Ken Maumalo also retains his spot, after leaving the field in Brisbane and failing a head-injury assessment.
